Global meet on ‘Crisis and Hegemonic Dilemmas'

World-renowned political and economic experts will participate in a three-day conference on “The Global Crisis and Hegemonic Dilemmas'' beginning here on Monday at the India International Centre.

Russia faces social upheaval due to scorching heat: Experts

Unprecedented heat wave and drought in major agro regions of Russia could lead to grave social and economic consequences and would aggravate the economic crisis in the country, top experts have warned. The government has imposed economic emergency in 17 major grain and vegetable producing regions as the mercury touched 40 degree Celsius mark in the worst ever drought since 1972.

Second wave of crisis may originate outside U.S.

It is events outside the United States that are most likely to send the global economy into another downward spiral. Most probably, a series of big bankruptcies in the third world countries will give rise to a new wave of stock market shocks and a downfall of speculative commodity prices – such is the conclusion made by experts at the economic studies center of the Institute of Globalization and Social Movements based on their analysis of the risks for 2010.

IGSO: The Global Crisis Has Just Started

Institute for globalization and social movements (IGSO) presents a book “Crisis of the Global Economy” written by Vasily Koltashov. It is dedicated to the analysis of origin, states of development, prospects and consequences of recent global economy crisis. The paper includes macroeconomic, technological and socio-political conclusions and forecasts. Author tries to find the answer to the main question: “Why this crisis is so severe and what should the world expect in the future?” Under author’s judgment the crisis has only started and the main economic troubles will occur in 2010-2013.

Crisis will give rise to political changes in Russia

Further development of economic crisis will generate large-scale political changes in Russia. Changes will concern the state system and the society in whole. This conclusion is made by Institute for globalization and social movements (IGSO). Local grassroots movement will play the leading role in this process. Changes in public consciousness will evoke mass politics.
